From 19 January 2016, all EU nurses trained outside of the UK will be required to have passed the academic exam IELTS with a score of at least 7.0 to be able to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and practice their profession in this country.

All nurses who have submitted their registration to the NMC before 31 December 2015 will not need to undertake the IELTS exam. Start the process now and apply for your application pack from the NMC website, it only takes few minutes.
