Following Jeremy Hunt’s demands that Trusts clampdown on their agency costs in June, plans were announced to achieve this. Amongst the policies set out was the news that, from the 19 October, NHS Trusts will no longer be able to hire their agency staff through agencies that are not on approved framework agreement. We’ve had a lot of queries both from our own nurses and their nursing colleagues regarding how this change will impact them. So we’ve established this quick guide for the nursing community as a whole.

What does this mean for HCL nurses?

If you’re unsure whether the announced changes will affect your agency – call them today and ask if they are on the major healthcare frameworks (CCS, LPP, HTE).
