Denise, London.

Fifteen years ago I woke up one morning and was in terrible pain in the right side of my stomach. I called 999. When I arrived in the And E department, I was seen straight away.

They said I was pregnant and it was an ectopic pregnancy and they will have to operate straight away or I could die. I have to say I couldn’t have wished for better care from the start to finish. I am very grateful for the care and saving my life.

We are very lucky to have such a fantastic free health services in the UK, and think doctors and nurses are amazing.

Keeping Britain Healthy is a campaign launched by HCL Workforce Solutions. Its purpose is to celebrate the NHS and everyone who supports it. This includes doctors, nurses, social workers, healthcare professionals and administrative staff.
